I had the exact same problem with this sling as mentioned before. There is nowhere near enough support in the Koala hold. The upper railings do not give any support to my sons upper body and head resulting in him slumped and me having a lot of strain on my shoulder.

Baba Sling Review

I used the baba sling from 4 days old through to about 18 months. Overall it is a really good, versatile product but it does have a couple of negatives. I cant compare with another sling, so here goes...
Pros:
1. Excellent for sharing! Very easy to adjust to fit whoever is wearing at the time, and you can choose wither the left or right shoulder!
2. Only one pair of hands needed. It is really easy to put baby in and out of the sling.
3. Secure - always had both hands free to carry shopping!
4. Compact and lightweight - has its own carry bag to save on essential storage space
5. Great for discreet breastfeeding - takes a bit of practice but well worth it!
Cons:
1. Pressure on neck - this is not a problem with a young baby, but as my little one approached a year the weight bearing on one shoulder only became very noticeable.
2. Awkward as baby becomes toddler - can be used as a hip seat, but again the weight bears on one shoulder and I found it not to be as secure as when he was a baby...
I would shop around harder in future to find a sling with all the wonderful bonuses of this one, but with support on both shoulders. But overall, there are some great features that I struggled to find with other slings.

Saviour for holidays!

I started using this sling when my son was 6 months and we went on holiday. I didnt want the hassle of taking a push chair and this sling was great as my son could have a nap quite comfortably while we went sight seeing- It felt that he was part of the holiday and not having to be stuck in the push chair all the while.

Very Dissapointing

I was very dissapointed by this sling. I bought it to use for my newborn so that I may have two hands free to deal with my toddler. Unfortunately the most I could manage was one hand free as I needed to use the other hand to support the baby in the sling. I prefer to use the Koala Cuddle hold as my baby was very long. However the sling was too big and I was unable to get it tight enough along the top rail to support the babys upper body. There are long straps to allow you to adjust, but even when fully tightened it was still far too big for me. I am 5ft 6" and a size 10. In addition the straps are very difficult to tighten when on you - you need to take the sling off to tighten them. Its also very difficult to unclip the sling when the baby is in it, e.g. if he falls asleep and you want to put him down without wakening him. All in all it was a waste of money for me. I will be selling this at my local "Nearly New NCT sale".
