POPPY support and information for parents of premature babies.
This package of materials for neonatal units has been designed to help you support parents of premature babies. The information provided is based on research which shows parents’ concerns and what they say they need.
- The pack aims to promote intimacy between parents and premature babies, by showing parents what they can do for their baby even when they are very small and needing specialist care, a situation which can sometimes make parents feel redundant.
- Advice is also offered to make it easier for mothers of premature babies to breastfeed.
