The Kaya Birthing Stool is designed to comfortably accommodate a smooth range of the most natural and physiologically effective positioning for labour and delivery, including squatting, sitting, kneeling, side-lined and reclined.
Kaya Birthing Stools can be used prenatally as a tool for stretching and light exercise in preparation for labour and delivery. During this period an expectant mother can use the stool with her birthing partner to become familiar with the birthing position most comfortable to her in advance of her labour.
The Kaya Birthing Stool has been recently redesigned for use fully submerged during waterbirths. The Kaya Stool is lightweight, easily portable and moulded from a safe, lightweight plastic, suitable for cleaning with any medical grade cleaner.
