How to Carry a Caseload without Breaking your Back |

A publication based on the proceedings of the joint IMA/MIDIRS conference held on 19 April 2005 - Limited edition.
This successful joint national conference was organised to help promote the Independent Midwives Association (IMA) model of caseloading midwifery care.
As a result, a resource pack has been produced which includes a combination of key papers from the conference alongside some original papers on related topics. A series of afternoon workshops provided an interactive environment where issues about management, working conditions and midwifery practice within a caseloading model could be explored in more detail. Where possible, these discussions have been captured and included in the resource pack to reflect the energy felt in the workshops at the time.
MIDIRS continues to support the initiatives of the Independent Midwives Association as they seek alternatives for midwives to undertake midwifery in its widest sense. We hope this resource pack will assist you with your practice.
