The Carriwell raw silk washable breast pads are ultra-hygienic as they have a four layer core system.
The layer against the skin is 100% natural silk, which has anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe, cool and heal sensitive and sore nipples.
The second layer is both breathable and waterproof, the third layer promotes air circulation & has a very high absorbency and finally the fourth outer layer is 100% cotton flannel.
I have found these so much more comfortable to wear than disposable breast pads which i find really irritate me. Sadly they dont seem protect 100% against leaks especially early on but for me the comfort far out weighed this. They wash really well to and are discrete.

I really liked these and the fact they were silk meant they were really helpful in healing cracked nipples early on. Absorbent and didnt show through like some pads can.
