The Pezzi Ball Maxafe is a high quality birthing ball made from a superior burst-resistant material that will deflate slowly if cut or punctured.
The Pezzi Ball has several different uses for pregnancy, labour and postnatally.
During pregnancy, the birthing ball can be used as an exercise ball. Birthing ball exercises help to strengthen your body, keeping muscles strong and toned (in preparation for labour) which in turn helps to make for a more comfortable pregnancy carrying your baby. As your pregnancy progresses, sitting or leaning over the ball will help to relieve lower back pain and towards the end of pregnancy the birthing ball can be used to familiarise yourself with birthing positions whilst sitting on it can help encourage your baby to settle into the optimum position prior to birth.
During labour you can rock on the birthing ball for good positioning helping to make birth easier and less painful. Use the birthing ball as part of relaxation in labour, incorporating breathing and massage techniques for holistic pain management.
Following the birth, the ball can be used once more as an exercise ball helping you to regain your figure and get back into shape.
Pezzi Ball is available in two sizes:
65cm – recommended for heights up to 5’9”
75cm – recommended for heights over 5’ 9” (no longer available)
To inflate the Pezzi Ball please use a footpump which are available to purchase separately from the dropdown menu.
Benefits of Pezzi Ball:
- Can be used during pregnancy, labour and postnatally as an exercise ball.
- Used as a tool for pelvic floor exercises, the birthing ball will strengthen muscles and increase mobility.
- Being softer than a traditional chair, many women find the birthing ball makes for very comfortable sitting during pregnancy. Using the ball you can roll into a standing position much easier than getting out of a chair. It also promotes women to sit upright and forward, which promotes the optimal foetal position.
- Helps with labour, assisting you into better positioning for birth whilst providing support. Allows gentle rocking and movement in the pelvis.
- Can be used for post natal exercising helping you to stay fit and healthy.

| Great pregnancybirthing ball. Really good quality. Im tall and the 75cm was perfect size - does need to be blown up over a couple of days, its surprising how much bigger it will get if you need it to be! |

Too big |
Date Posted: 24/11/2012 |
| I ordered this and the NCT shop service was excellent as always. However the size 65cm is too big for me to sit on and have my feet flat on the floor, I am 5.6. Sadly, I cant return it as I have thrown away the original box and it is already pumped up. |

Elegant descent! |
Date Posted: 04/09/2012 |
| Ive been using a ball as a teacher for a couple of years, and recently while teaching I rolled onto a sharp edge without realising. I heard a loud bang, then elegantly descended to the floor as the air escaped through an enormous gash in the ball. I am very relieved it was me sitting on the ball at the time! But most of all its great to know that the anti-burst qualities really do make a difference! Ill be re-ordering. |

| As advised I bought the 65cm ball as Im 5ft 8 but its way too small so I would recommend anyone over 5ft 7 gets the larger size. |

Ball |

| As Im 5ft 11 I think I am too tall for this and felt I was not getting the benefit. Having said that it did help backache but I could only sit on it for 5mins before my groin would ache. |

Very pleased with this Purchase of Pexi Ball 75 |

| I had a 65 cm Ball and somehow it was not right for my 180 cm height, once I started sitting on this one I realised why they are so great. I used it in Labour and it really helped a lot. It is deflated now but I will sure use it in next Pregnancy and Labour! |

Kept me going! |
Date Posted: 16/06/2011 |
| I ended up being almost 2 weeks over and the Pezzi Ball was great for keeping me going!
Used in early labour as we even took it in hospital when induced...
My 4 and 5 year old love it too..sturdy, comfy and just the right size - many exercise balls are just too small.. |

Glad I bought this |

| I got this for my exercise in pregnacy classes but Ive been using it all the time as so much more comfy to sit on than the sofa. Takes a bit of effort to pump up and its more stuff in the living room but my 3 year old daughter loves playing with it. |
