The first months with a baby are amazing but they can also be especially exhausting, the most tiring aspect usually being getting up all the time during the night.
Conventional beds, bassinets and cradles tend to stand alone in the babies room or in the parents bedroom. Usually this means that a parent has to get up to feed or change a baby, taking them out of their bed and then returning them back later. This is not only exhausting it can also be very painful for new mothers, especially those who have experienced a difficult birth or a Caesarean section.
The Babybay Bedside Cot offers an alternative to traditional baby cots and cribs as this innovative cot attaches to the side of the parents bed providing a separate space for the baby to sleep in that is still within arms reach during the night.
Evidence shows that an along side cot provides the safest form of sleeping arrangements for you and your baby as both parent and child receive all the benefits of a traditional co-sleeping relationship without any of the perceived bed-sharing risks. Benefits include reduced risk of cot death, easier access for breastfeeding, more night time contact for bonding and a less painful experience of reaching for your baby in the night.
The Babybay attaches to the side of a frame bed with the use of two fasteners that can be adjusted to any height. If being used with a divan style bed, simply reverse the fitting and attach from the underneath. The fittings and mattress level adjust independently allowing complete flexibility and height adjustability.
The cot comes with an optional detachable flat side to convert the bedside cot into a freestanding cot. This allows your baby to be left unattended when sleeping and is useful for when the baby is older and has started to roll over.
The Babybay Bedside Cot is ideal for use until a baby is around 9 months old. This unique piece of nursery furniture can then be converted into a highchair, playpen, desk, childs chair or bench with the purchase of additional parts making it great excellent all round value for money. Highchair Conversion kit is available here.
Dimensions of Babybay Bedside Cot:
86cm (wide) x 79cm (high) x 46cm (deep)

If you wanted to enlarge the sleeping area of the BabyBay, you can simply add an Extension Panel between the BabyBay and your bed. This will widen your BabyBay so that your baby could, if you prefer sleep at a right angle to you. A separate mattress is also included to cover the Extension Panel and make a larger, seamless sleeping surface for your baby. And when the extension is no longer needed, it can be transformed in a few easy steps into elegant wall shelving. Everything you need for this is already included.

Slept through the night, every night since 8 weeks old... |

| I came in for a lot of stick from parents and inlaws when I bought this and they have eaten their words entirely! I am convinced the reason my daughter has always been such a good sleeper is due to the security instilled in her from sleeping close to me in her Babybay until 5.5 months. We then transferred her to her own room as outgrew the Bay- she is a tall girl! and have never had any probs. Touch wood! I would absolutely recommend this product and will be using it with future babies too! |

Then there was sleep... |

| This cot has been a life saver! The image of the baby settling in a cot right after birth is not very realistic. The little one needs and wants to be close to the mother or parents. We were sleeping with our baby in the bed after not settling in a traditional cot. Now with the help of this cot which creates an extension of the bed where the baby sleeps, both baby and ma sleep safely in peace. I am recommending this to new mothers and friends who have visited us asking where to get one. Thanks to babybay and the person who invented this! |

| This a lovely looking cot and has been much admired by friends and family! It is great to have our daughter almost in bed with us but not to have to worry about rolling on her - effectively cosleeping but without the anxiety! She clearly likes being so close and I sometimes see her open her eyes, look over to check Im there and then go back to sleep again. The cot itself was easy to put together I did it on my own at 8 months pregnant although the instructions were terrible, but it was easy enough to work out logically. Only downside is that it is quite a bit more expensive than some other sidealong cots on the market but is correspondingly more attractive. |

Best investment for sleep ever |

| We bought this when No2 was 5 days old and refusing to sleep in the moses basket. It was pricey but worth every penny. He slept in it till he was 5mths, and then moved mostly to a big cot, but I still kept it beside the bed for daytime naps, and so I didnt worry that he would fall out of bed when I was feeding him in the night. It meant that I could put my hand on him when he woke in the night without getting up, and he would drift off again. Not sure if it is as a result, but he happily falls asleep by himself, now 7.5mths, and has done since 2 mths old. I just wish we had found this for baby No1, as it would have saved us an awful lot of stress and sleeplessness.
Also worth noting is that it is robust, well-built, fantastically designed and v flexible in terms of fitting onto the bed. My husband put it together in about 10mins. |
