This Natal Hypnotherapy CD is a wonderful tool to use during labour to help keep you calm, focused, relaxed and breathing effectively.
To get the maximum benefit from this CD, you should learn the techniques from the Natal Hypnotherapy birth preparation CDs and book during the last trimester of your pregnancy. This Labour companion CD can then be used to reinforce the techniques during the birth. Women who have used this CD have felt that it is just the top-up needed to stay focused, relaxed and better able to manage the sensations of labour.
The Labour Companion CD can also be used intermittently with the Relaxing Birth Music CD.
There are three hypnosis tracks on this CD which can be listened to at different stages of labour and these been designed to reflect the emotional stages you are likely to go through. For a detailed explanation of the emotional stages please refer to the Effective Birth Preparation book or your local practitioner.
The calming voice of Maggie Howell featured on this CD coupled with the background relaxing birth music, will reassure you and remind you of all the relaxation, visualisation and breathing techniques you have learnt during your pregnancy. The “reduce adrenaline” track is particularly useful if you are disturbed during the later stages of labour.
It is useful to put the track on "repeat" so you only listen to the relevant track during your labour.
